Senior Thesis
Demonstrating the culmination of the student’s technical experience and artistic development. Students will present final proposals and style frames of their self-directed animation project. This project emphasizes experimentation, self-expression, and pursuit of an individual aesthetic.
1. Explore
Exploration
Explore and experiment. This could be achieved by creating new connections between methodologies and media, or by using an existing tool and media in a novel way. In this project, the primary focus is on visual exploration, authenticity and aesthetic appeal. My chosen direction consisted of 3D Animation with 2D Hand drawn elements.

2. STORYBOARD
Storyboard Creation
For this process, the challenge was trying to figure out what would be the best way to have transitions from each environment to the next. Also how to flow the timing of cuts and animation to the selected sound track of the overall piece. Changes were made throughout the project but still keep the overall pacing.

Putting the storyboards together to figure out the right timing for animation and syncing to the music track for key moments.

After the second pass of the animatic, it was suggested by my production advisor to change the ending slightly. There needed to be more of a build up to my protagonist deciding to close the door at the end instead of going through it.
